James W. Nowotarski is a consultant and educator in the areas of systems development, project management, and IT effectiveness. He previously worked at Accenture for more than 20 years on large technology programs for clients such as Baxter, IBM, IRS, and The Northern Trust. He also led Accenture R&D programs in systems development, software metrics, cloud computing, knowledge management, and offshore development. He taught numerous classes at Accenture's training facilities in Asia, Europe, and North America. He worked with CIOs and academic researchers as a sponsor of the MIT Sloan School of Management's Center for Information Systems Research. Mr. Nowotarski graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science degree (with Distinction) in Math and Computer Science and a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Management Information Systems.
