DePaul University offers a dynamic educational experience in Los Angeles, tailored for students eager to make their mark in the entertainment industry. The historic Sunset Las Palmas Studio is home to both our LA Quarter program and MFA in Creative Producing, which offer transformative experiences, empowering students to turn their passion into a thriving career in Hollywood.

LA Quarter

LA Quarter is a ten-week immersion program where undergraduates and graduates live and study in Los Angeles, taking classes on the studio lot. This program provides hands-on experience through internships at high-profile companies, helping students build a professional network and navigate the studio system.

Creative Producing

The MFA in Creative Producing is designed to meet the growing demand for content in the entertainment industry, with evening classes on the studio lot. Students learn every aspect of creative producing, from pre-production to distribution, equipping them for successful careers as studio executives, showrunners, and more.

Alumni

Since graduating our first class in 2005, we’ve seen our School of Cinematic Arts alumni become experienced professionals in the film and television industry. As graduates of DePaul, our alumni build personal and professional connections through a strong alumni network. That network includes over 4300 DePaul alumni who live and work in the LA area, like Colleen Rafferty (pictured), an editor whose 14 years of experience includes Percy Jackson and the Olympians and The Old Man.
