The Bachelor of Arts in Professional Studies with a Major in Computing is a joint degree between the Jarvis College of Computing and Digital Media and the School of Continuing and Professional Studies. The program builds knowledge and skills in computing and technology-based systems for application in a range of organizational settings. Students examine their prior and current work-based experience in light of theory and principles. This program intentionally helps students integrate liberal arts learning--with an emphasis on agile and critical thinking--with a professional specialization.

This major advances students' foundational knowledge in a range of computing areas. Students may pursue concentrations in computer science, information systems, information technology, network technology, and security. With a range of elective courses offered in the major, students may specialize further in areas of particular interest to them.
Graduates of this program will be particularly well positioned to make optimal decisions in the workplace and become promotable leaders. They will be able to design a technology-based solution to a problem in an organization, investigate problems using qualitative and quantitative methods, apply ethical principles in contest, and more.
