Teaches such courses as Introduction to Screenwriting, Foundations of Cinema, Film Production Development, Film Philosophy, Film Festivals, Television Genres, Foundations of Television, The Art of Screen Acting, and Special Topics courses including: The Films of Alfred Hitchcock, Woody Allen, The Coen Brothers, Paul Thomas Anderson, LGBTQ Narratives, and Richard LInklater. Has been a member of the pre-screening committee for the Chicago International Film Festival, served as Programming Director for the Pride Film Festival in Chicago, and currently is the Documentary Features Programmer for Reeling: Chicago's LGBTQ+ Film Festival.
Has also reviewed films on WDCB(90.9 FM) and Que4 Radio. He writes reviews on his website Palcinema.com and is a member of the Chicago Indie Critics association. Also wrote, directed, and produced the shorts "Scotty Works OUT," "Scotty & Josh Get Enlightened," "Another Party with Scotty," and "Counting" which have played at film festivals throughout the U.S. In March 2017 "Counting" won 1st Place in the Short Feature competition at the North By Midwest Microbudget Film Festival in Michigan.
