Bio and Research Information

Adjunct Professor: Dr. AbuSalem have extensive years of experience in the IT field primarily in the areas of Databases, Information Retrieval, Natural Language Processing, Data Sciences, and Networking. Recently he have been focusing on the development and implementation of IT strategic plans, IT security, and Cross-Language retrieval systems. Before joining DePaul University in 2001, he worked in a teaching position for Mu'tah University in Jordan for ten years. He held the post of Chairman of the Computer Sciences Department at Mu'tah University-1997. He received his Ph.D. in computer science from the Illinois Institute of Technology-1992. He holds a Master of Science degree in computer science from Western Michigan University-1989 and a Bachelor of Science, also in computer science, from Yarmouk University in Jordan-1984. Dr. AbuSalem is very active in the IT community. He have published and reviewed many of technical papers in numerous conferences and technical journals.
