Oliver Alonzo obtained his Ph.D. in Computing and Information Sciences from the Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He has a B.S. in Computer Science from Creighton University, where he also minored in Graphic Design and Musical Theatre.
Before joining DePaul University, he was a post-doctoral assistant professor at Creighton University. During his Ph.D., he also worked as an intern at Meta (Facebook) and Adobe Research as a UX Researcher and Research Scientist, respectively.
His research areas include human-computer interaction and computing accessibility, broadly exploring how to increase access to digital information for people with disabilities.
