Assistant Professor and Chair of the Health Informatics program Casey Bennett uses wearable technology and AI to provide healthcare “wherever you are.”
Assistant professor Oliver Alonzo presents the CHI 2025 paper “I have never seen that for Deaf people's content:" Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing User Experiences with Misinformation, Moderation, and Debunking on Social Media in the US,” which received an Honorable Mention (top 5% of submissions) in Japan. The paper is co-authored by associate professor Filipo Sharevski and undergraduate student Sarah Hau.
Associate Professor Thiru Ramaraj teaches a new Global Learning Experience course that bridges computer science and biology disciplines across borders, connecting students and faculty from DePaul and Sao Paulo State University.
Associate professor Roselyne Tchoua's new research combines AI and human elements in healthcare to keep at-risk patients from falling through the cracks.
Professor Daniela Stan Raicu, along with graduate and undergraduate researchers in the Medical Informatics (MedIX) Laboratory, use the power of visual computing to advance research in the medical field.
