About DePaul Cinespace Studios

DePaul Cinespace Studios is the School of Cinematic Arts’ nearly 60,000-square-foot professional production facility, located in Chicago’s booming center for feature film and television production.

Our space includes six shooting stages complete with professional-grade sets, lighting and design; a Virtual Production Stage/LED Volume Wall; green screen cyclorama; and high-end equipment checkout. There’s also a Scene Shop, dressing rooms with hair and makeup stations, editing suites, classroom/collaboration areas, and ample storage and work areas to support any project.

DePaul distinguished itself from all other film programs in the United States when it formed its alliance with Cinespace Studios Chicago in 2013. At DePaul Cinespace Studios, SCA students learn filmmaking crafts and techniques from highly accomplished faculty and staff on industry-standard equipment mere steps away from high-profile network productions filming on the Cinespace Chicago lot. Both SCA students and alumni have found opportunities working on hit television shows including Fox’s Empire; FX’s Fargo; Hulu’s The Bear; NBC’s Chicago Fire, Chicago Med and Chicago PD; and Showtime’s Shameless and The Chi.
