Several CDM faculty present at DePaul’s annual Innovation Day. This year’s event focused on driving innovation for social good, specifically addressing poverty, environmental sustainability and artificial intelligence.

CDM’s Innovation Development (iD) Lab, directed by Associate Professor in the School of Computing Yele Adelakun, serves as a model for university and corporate partnerships in the area of technology innovation.

Assistant Professor Brian Andrews was awarded funding to create a virtual production environment at DePaul Cinespace Studios, where students and faculty use computer software tools and large format LED screens to combine on-set performances and virtual computer graphics in real-time.

Faculty and students in new innovative labs at CDM, Matters at Play, directed by faculty Lien Tran, and PUSH Studio, directed by faculty LeAnne Wagner, are collaborating on the design of a VR experience to train law enforcement in trauma-informed and victim-centered interviewing techniques when investigating sexual assault.   

Our faculty meet with representatives from industry to discuss potential research collaboration at the annual CDM faculty-industry mixer.


CDM treats research and creative activity as integral to its delivery of first-class instruction to students. Faculty in each of CDM's three schools are engaged in innovative scholarly and creative work and offer collaborative research opportunities with students and partners.
