Producing the Independent Television Series
This course is an immersive introduction to video production for the independent television series. Students learn how to produce a short-form, five-episode, independent series.The course covers the basic principles of directing, budgeting, financing, casting, hiring talent, scheduling, securing locations, shooting, creating safe, diverse, and inclusive sets, controlling continuity, and gathering social media artifacts for a series. Students learn the production process from idea execution through production.
SCWR 460 is a prerequisite for this class.
