Bio and Research Information

Rajeev is the Vice President of Technology and Information Security at CEDA, the state's largest and oldest community action agency serving all of Chicago and Cook County. Here, he provides leadership, governance, and a strategic vision of organizational innovation through technology. He leads the IT Department and guides the development and implementation of the organization’s IT systems, infrastructure, and operations. He oversees the agency's cybersecurity posture and implements best practice policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Rajeev has previously worked as the Director of Technology, primarily in the public service arena at the City of Chicago's legal department. He conducted strategic and operational technology planning and implementations. He was responsible for technical vendor management, budgeting, contracting, and business process re-engineering. He has advised government leaders on IT Strategies, IT Governance and IT Operations. He has also advised attorneys across Chicagoland on the processes of Electronic Discovery, Investigative computer forensics, as well as compliance and security practices. He has managed real-time transit tracking systems, ensuring millions of commuters can schedule and plan their daily commutes. Rajeev received his Master of Science degree in Business and Information Technology from DePaul University and his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from Northeastern Illinois University. He has been teaching at DePaul since 2012.
