CDM's Jarvis Student Center for Innovation and Collaboration is an 8,000 square-foot open space where students and faculty come together to ideate and innovate. The center focuses on multidisciplinary professional learning and industry partnerships fueled by emerging technologies and projects dedicated to societal needs and innovation.

Projects using artificial intelligence can often be perceived as automatically replacing human interaction with technology. Researchers at DePaul University, led by School of Computing faculty, and Sinai Chicago are challenging that assumption by partnering with community health workers to combine the predictive capabilities of AI with human insights.

DePaul was named one of Graphic Design USA’s top design schools of 2024, a list which highlights schools and programs that prepare talented students for creative careers in the real world. The industry publication also named School of Design students Liam Guiritan and Magda Wilhelm “students to watch.”

Roberto Larios (MFA Screenwriting ‘17) is currently a TV Literary Agent, working closely with writers, directors, and producers at the LA-based Verve Agency. During his time at DePaul, Roberto participated in our LA Quarter program, where he got his first experience in Hollywood. “For me, personally, being in LA was a necessity. Almost every agency, every studio, every network exists here. The ability to gain understanding of both representation and production [during LA Quarter] was really beneficial to me. The things that you see on TV today have been in development from 6 months to even 6 years. Being in LA, you get a true understanding of what that entails - and you’re at the forefront.”

Jamya Whitman (BS Computer Science ‘25) is a dedicated computer science student-athlete. As one of the captains of the DePaul cheer team, she has demonstrated leadership while also earning the Most Outstanding Player Award. Beyond athletics, she serves as a CDM Student Ambassador and an Online Learning Ambassador. During her sophomore year, Jamya was part of a CDM student group selected to attend the Grace Hopper Women in Computing Conference. She has been passionate about computer science since she was 11, and is currently pursuing her interest in game design while also studying Japanese at DePaul. With a strong focus on starting a career in software development, she aspires to pursue indie game development on the side. Jamya is registered with the Center for Students with Disabilities and has an emotional support animal named Venus.

Noelle Green (BS User Experience Design '22) is a User Experience Designer for Aviture, designing software systems for the U.S. Air Force. Since graduating from DePaul, she has earned her MS in Project Management and spent 2 years working for Garmin as a product designer. During her time at Garmin, she led design efforts on several outdoor and fitness wearables, including the Venu, Fenix, Instinct, and Descent lines. She also earned her PADI Dive Certification while working on designing underwater messaging systems for divers. While attending DePaul, she was the manager at the Idea Realization Lab in the Loop Campus, where she spent most of her time as a student.
